The Process
We understand the process of selling your minerals can be somewhat confusing.
At Saratoga Royalty L.P. we try to both simplify and speed the process.
We can typically make a no obligation offer within 48 hours and close the transaction within a few days (not weeks or months). We never charge any hidden fees.
The price we quote is the full amount we pay!
How a typical transaction works.
Evaluation
We are contacted by a mineral owner interested in selling their interest. We are provided with a few basic items. We need payment check stubs for past 2 months. This is used to verify the State and County the mineral interests are located in, well information, operator and dollar amount paid per month. It is also helpful if the owner can provide some information concerning transfer of title of interests to them. We evaluate the interests based on monthly production and payments, the decline curve of the wells and the location of the interest.
Offer/Verification
Once the evaluation process is completed, we will make a no obligation written offer. The offer will include the purchase price and effective date of transfer (subject to title verification). If the offer is accepted we typically need about 2 days to complete a title exam to verify ownership and locate the correct legal description for the deed.
Closing
Once title is verified, we agree to a location to meet and close the transaction. This is typically done at the owner’s bank (or any location where a notary public is available). We will pay the owner with a bank issued Cashiers Check for the full agreed to purchase price or we can wire transfer funds directly to your bank if requested. We will handle the basic legal work, title work and we never charge any additional fees. It is a simple process that we believe works well for both the owner and us. We are a family owned and managed company with three generations in the oil and gas industry. We would like the opportunity to evaluate the interests you are considering selling.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
